Safety Initiative Award

SAFETY AT THE JOBSITES = 

LiUNA Local 78 in coordination with Local 12A and The Environmental Contractors Association (ECA) will award 32 workers with US$1,000 each.

THIS IS ONLY FOR NYC & LONG ISLAND JOBSITES!

The method to select this workers is the following: The ECA will select 200 people and the Unions will 200 (Local 78: 160 & Local 12A: 40). A drawing to select those 32 workers will take place at Local 78 Christmas Gala - Dec 16, 2011.

The way our Local 78 Union will select the 160 workers is the following:

The Shop Steward will conduct a drawing in each Jobsite by taking the name of the workers. When the job has more that 10 workers two workers must be selected.

The Shop Steward will fill out a form provided by the Union with the information of the worker selected and bring it to the office together with the Shop Steward Report.

Shop Stewards Selection: 

We will select 10 Shop Stewards to participate in the drawing using the following method:
A text message will be sent to the entire membership for them to vote for the best Shop Stewards. The top 10 with more votes will be included in the Drawing to select the 32 winners of the $1,0000.
